My Digital Imaging 1 Final. I named this piece ‘Mind’s Eye’ because it represents that despite seeing the world through our own eyes, we can use our minds to see so many things from the depths of space to the finite details of internal human anatomy. The images I used were an image of myself at the bottom of a dried out reservoir (Photocred: Charley Laufman), held up beneath by a deep retinal scan of my retina, and looking down over the whole thing is a helix nebula which resembles a human eye. The magic represents the how we can look outward and inward by using our mind both spiritually to grasp these aspects of our universe, and intelligently to develop technologies that actually allow us to see these beautiful natural phenomenas that are otherwise invisible to the human eye.
